A recent report by the EPA reported that fuel economy for 2012 fleets increased 1.4 mpg over the prior year. In emissions, that means a reduction of 374 grams of carbon dioxide per mile. Overall, U.S. fleets averaged 23.8 mpg in 2012, thanks in part to the clean vehicles our members produce. (...)

One of Global Automakers’ members, Honda Motor Co., recently earned a top spot among companies in both Japan and worldwide that are working proactively to reduce their corporate carbon footprint.
Honda achieved the second-highest disclosure score among Japanese companies and ranked in the top five worldwide companies who were part of the Carbon Disclosure Project’s 2012 Global 500 Climate Change Report, which examines the world’s 500 largest companies and their initiatives to counter global warming through disclosing information about their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
